Mandela Day
Nelson Mandela inspired the whole nation of South Africa on his birthday, 18
July 2009, for individuals to give 1 hour of their time to the needy. Many
responded to this, whether individuals or corporate companies – each and
everyone wanted to do their share to make a difference.
The Star Newspaper: The Star newsroom team worked really hard
transforming the teenage girl’s lounge into a comfortable and homely place.
They also waterproofed the wash line section of roof and brought in portable
troughs to grow vegetables. This instills confidence in their home and therefore
also in themselves. Thank you each and everyone.
